Climbing Mont Blanc for Hope and Homes for Children
After 30 years of friendship, Kirsty Coldicott, Stuart Henshall, and James Ball are taking on Mont Blanc — Western Europe’s highest peak at 4,810m — to raise £5,000 for Hope and Homes for Children.
This isn’t just a climb — it’s a serious challenge, involving exposed scrambling sections and crossing the notorious Grand Couloir, also known as the “Corridor of Death”, as well as a high altitude endurance of (hours long) ascent. Weather conditions could affect our attempt, but our commitment to the cause is unwavering.
Do you remember the footage of the neglected children in orphanages during the Bosnian war, the war may have ceased but the neglect has not.
Hope and Homes for Children works to close orphanages worldwide and help children grow up safely in loving families, as opposed to, at best isolation and neglect, to, sadly, of course, abuse and trafficking. We believe every child deserves the safety and love of a family, and we’re climbing to support this vital mission.
Please help us reach our goal — your donation will change lives.
