Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I like to do something for a chosen charity each year and this year i have chosen newarks women’s aid.

My mum and sisters had to leave our home in Scotland and relocate to England with just the clothes on our backs, after many years of suffering with domestic violence she found the strength and courage to leave. it was a extremely difficult time for my mum and It wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the help of women’s aid.

Here is a little information

Newark Women's Aid was established in 1975 to meet these aims and opened a refuge, one of the first in the country, to provide services for women and children who have been made homeless because of domestic violence and abuse. To date we are proud to have supported 4,200 women and 6,400 children.

£20 will buy emergency groceries for a family coming into Refuge with nothing

£50 will help to replace bedding and nursery equipment

£100 will pay for three nights emergency accommodation for a woman and her children

Donations that they receive are used for the running of the refuge and to enable them to continue supporting women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. Any donation is greatly appreciated and you will make such a huge difference xx
