This September, I’m taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge – that’s 24 miles, three mountains, and over 1,500 metres of climbing… all in one day!

To be completely honest, I was pretty sure this challenge would be too much for me when I first looked at it. But after an incredible experience last year doing the Snowdon at Night trek with The Eve Appeal, I’ve decided to throw myself into it.

I started running last autumn to build my cardio and stamina, and I’ve been doing monthly training hikes to build up my confidence. I’m nervous – but also really excited to see what I can do, and to raise money for such an important cause.

The Eve Appeal funds vital research into gynaecological cancers, supports awareness and early detection, and helps people get the information they need. These cancers are still underfunded and under-discussed – and that needs to change.
