Story
Angela Humphrys sadly lost her fight for life in Mogerhanger Hospice on 10 March 2025, 6 days before her 50th birthday. The loving care and support that she and her family and friends received from Sue Ryder was invaluable.
Aiden (Angela’s 13 year old son) & I are taking part in Sue Ryders Starlight Hike on 3rd October in Bedford - walking under the stars to help make sure more people get the expert care and support they deserve at the end of their life.
We are raising much needed funds in memory of his Mum, my friend and all our friends and family who have suffered from a terminal illness.
Sue Ryder believes how we die matters. Their nurses, doctors and bereavement specialists support people through terminal illness, death and grief - but too many still aren’t getting the care they need. That isn’t right, and I want to help change it.
Last year, Sue Ryder delivered more than 655,000 hours of expert care. Every second was made possible by people who chose to get involved.
If you’re able to sponsor us, you’ll be helping make every step count — so more people can get the expert care and support they deserve when it matters most
