10 (kind of retired) individuals gather at a local bar, enjoying a refreshing drink and pondering ways to make a difference for three charities that hold a special place in their hearts. And then it hits them...The Gate Cycle to Spain! This group of 10 (kind of retired) men, armed with 9 bikes and 1 trusty van, is embarking on an extraordinary journey—a 700-mile cycling challenge across France to Spain.

Their adventure begins on the 2nd of June 2024, as they pedal away from The Gate Craft Bar in Park Gate, Hampshire. From there, they'll make their way to Portsmouth port, where they'll catch a ferry to St Malo. Cycling through picturesque landscapes and overcoming obstacles along the way, they'll push themselves further until they reach Irun—the gateway to Spain.

But their journey doesn't end there. They'll continue cycling through a portion of the majestic Pyrenees mountains until they reach San Sebastian. From there, it's onward to Bilboa, where they can finally catch their breath on the ferry back to Portsmouth. The last leg of their incredible expedition will see them cycle from Portsmouth Ferry Port back to The Gate Craft Bar—a triumphant return home on the 14th of June 2024 (fingers crossed!), where loved ones and the locals will be awaiting them.

These remarkable individuals have chosen three charities that hold personal significance for each of them. They are driven by a shared desire to make a lasting impact and change lives for the better.
