Story
In May 2024, our dear friend Katherine passed away following a very short and courageous battle against cancer. The kindest, most loving, most positive spirit on our Netball team, her impact continues to influence us every day. I feel blessed to have been able to spend a couple hours a week with Kath for over 15 years whilst we played the game we both loved.
With the motto, 'What would Kath do?', I personally am embracing living more in the moment, making memories and setting myself challenges that are far out of my comfort zone. On Saturday 17 May 2025, I will be undertaking a stage of the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge by walking 42km/26 miles from Weymouth to Bridport with the challenge anticipated to last between 10-15 hours. For anyone familiar with the Jurassic Coast, you'll understand why it's expected to take so long!
Any pennies donated will be given to Hospiscare. Thank you in advance for anything that you can spare.
If you live in Exeter, Mid or East Devon, Hospiscare is your local adult hospice charity. Should you or a loved one need care for any type of terminal illness, the professional team of doctors and nurses are there to help. If you live outside of Devon, please know that you are making a difference to not only an individual, but also their entire family and I can not thank you enough!
With love, Kirsty x
