As a group of beautiful friends and colleagues, from our A&E home or from the wider emergency services, we are taking part in the South Coast Mighty Hike for Macmillan Cancer Support.

I am walking for my lovely Mum Wendy who sadly lost her life to cancer in March.

Within our group, many of us have relations to Macmillan whether it be ourselves, other family or friends or our patients. We have decided to embark on the full marathon length hike (yikes) and will hopefully have managed to score a day off where we can spend it together across parts of the Downs and the Seven Sisters.

At the time of writing there are 10 of us and with a £250 target per person, making our fundraising target £2,500!! There may well be more joining our group, which will see our target go up further.

We would love for everyone and anyone to come and support us, whether through a donation or joining us for a glass of fizz at the end of the hike, or even to share this page further.

We set off from Brighton Racecourse at 7:40am on Saturday 7th June and at some point (hopefully the same day) finish at Helens Gardens in Eastbourne.
