Last summer (2023) our lovely mum was diagnosed with an incredibly rare form of sarcoma; EHE (epithelioid hemangioendothelioma), which affects less than 1 in a million people worldwide.

Because this type of blood vessel cancer is so rare, it receives very little funding and research is incredibly limited.

This makes it difficult to both diagnose and to treat EHE.

Diagnoses for EHE can be a long process - our mum was originally misdiagnosed with an aggressive form of sarcoma, (Angiosarcoma) after 2 months of tests, before then being re diagnosed with her EHE diagnosis a few weeks later.

EHE currently has no cure, with most people being diagnosed when the cancer has already metastasised.

It also affects each individual differently and can be unpredictable, making it even harder to treat.

We remain hopeful that with more funding and research we can achieve better treatments, faster diagnosis times and more awareness around EHE.

To help raise awareness and funding, myself and my brother James are organising a chain of charity events and fundraisers, starting off with a raffle.
