Story
In 2009 the charity Joining Against Cancer in Kids (J-A-C-K) was founded following the death of Jack Brown, aged 7. Funds raised will enable the continuation of vital investment in neuroblastoma research and support for families.
Through bustling streets where taxis wait
We lace our shoes at starting gate
New York in May, the race is set,
A transatlantic, cop-run set!
From London’s force, we cross the sea,
To pound the “sidewalks”, bold and free.
Alongside NYPD’s best,
We face the course, a daunting test.
The crowds will cheer, the sirens wail,
The finish line—our holy grail.
Through Central Park, where Friends did meet
The city's pulse beneath our feet.
So here’s to running, here’s to fun,
Two forces joined—our race begun!
Through sweat and smiles, through grit and grace,
Let’s own New York—we’ve got the pace!
So if you have enjoyed this rhyme
Please give a little for our time
And make it worth our while to go
7,000 miles for this Cop Show!
