Story
Some heroes wear capes, some sign up for challenges for charity! As part of the fundraising team at Cavendish, we always say we would never ask someone to do something we wouldn't do ourselves - so here I am, falling gracefully down a 12 storey building which 10 years ago I was a student at!
Why? Because local families facing cancer need our help. Cavendish Cancer Care are there for patients, carers, children and loved ones whose lives have been turned upside down by a cancer diagnosis. They offer free of charge therapy including counselling from their home in Sheffield, seeing over 1000 families each year.
But Cavendish only receive enough statutory funding to keep their doors open for about two weeks each year, meaning they rely on the generosity of the public to keep running. Put simply - they need your help.
£28 funds an hour of therapy for a patient who has just been told the news they have cancer or a carer who is trying to keep it all together.
Thank you for supporting this incredible cause!
