Story
A year ago, I ran my first half marathon and crossed the finish line in good time. For months I trained and dedicated myself towards preparing, which is why when I crossed the line I really felt a great sense of accomplishment. But, even more than that a sense of progress and a deep satisfaction with completing a daunting challenge, a challenge many wish they could complete.
After catching my breath (lol), I decided then that each year onwards I would participate in at least 1 marathon to physically and mentally challenge myself.
I chose to participate in this particular marathon because I will be running in support of men's health, something I feel a strong connection too. Movember is a leading charity in changing the face of men's health. Fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis, yet its rarely talked about. Movember has funded more than 1,250 men's health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, and shaking up men's health research, support services and treatment.
Prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention lets take them all on. Help me raise some money for this important cause. Men are dying too young. We cant afford to stay silent.
