Story
Disabled children face additional barriers to learning how to swim, leading to lower rates of swimming proficiency than in the general population.
Articles 24 and 27 of the UN declaration for human rights state that all have the right to leisure and participation in the cultural life of a community. Swimming is an avenue through which these human rights can be exercised, but many disabled children are left unable to do so.
Reaching this page’s fundraising goal would allow Level Water to provide twenty 1-1 swimming lessons to these children.
Our team is part of a 12hr overnight swimming relay. This fundraising event is organised by Level Water.
