Story

Did you know? Only 4% of the money from all UK charitable trusts and foundations goes to environmental causes, like nature restoration and climate change. Just 4%... That's why every year we HIKE FOR NATURE.

Scotland has already lost 97% of its original native forest, but it doesn't have to be this way...

We can come together to restore what has been lost, bring back the wild, and build resilience in the face of climate change. The current state of these rivers is making them more susceptible to drought and flooding caused by climate change and is reducing their ability to provide a home for wild Atlantic salmon, as well as trout, and freshwater mussels.

This year the team at Kiwano Travel will be climbing mountains in remote, and rugged Cairngorms National Park.

Raising funds for the European Nature Trust (TENT), a grassroots project that is working to restore the Kyle River catchment in the Scottish Highlands. You can read about the challenge here.

100% of contributions will go directly to the project work to create impact and long-term change.

We'll be climbing 5 of the 6 highest peaks in Britain.

1) Ben Macdui – The 2nd tallest mountain in the UK

2) Cairngorm – With a summit of 4,084ft

3) Cairn Toul – This bouldery summit is the fourth-highest mountain

4) Braeriach – The third highest mountain in Britain

5) Angel’s Peak – An extremely remote mountain
