Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am chair of the board of trustees for Kijana Kwanza - a charity which has transformed the local community in Moshi, Tanzania over the last 3 years. Despite the pandemic, Kijana Kwanza has managed to provide a holistic, nurturing environment for young Tanzanians - catering for their education, training, housing, nutrition and community. Children and young people rely on Kijana Kwanza to support them as they develop their aspirations into reality.

To continue the good work - we need your help. Kijana Kwanza is launching a special appeal to finalise the opening of our new shelter for orphans, street children and child victims of abuse.

With construction reaching its final stage, we need £30,000/$35,000 to furnish the property including bunk beds, cupboards, kitchen furniture, desks and chairs.

At the end of the month, 29 new children will arrive at Kijana Kwanza, so it's a race against time to get finished. Please give and share our appeal so that no child is left destitute on the streets of Moshi, Tanzania.
