Story
78 Solo miles...Raising Money & Plenty of Smiles!
I am here today because, after being knocked from my bike on my cycle to work in 2023, the heroes of the Wiltshire & Bath Air Ambulance came to my rescue. Thanks to the Critical Care Doctor & Paramedic that arrived on that day I have been gifted a future with my beloved family and am therefore OBSESSED with raising as much money as I can for this unbelievable charity to help them continue to deliver this service across the county, and beyond, when we really need them most.
My accident caused a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury - leading to epilepsy and anosmia - and my right arm now has the strength of a grissini breadstick...so my career has taken a slightly different path!
I now spend my time working in breweries and doing live comedy so have decided to combine the two to prove that...'If Life Knocks you Down - Stand Up!'
So, on 23rd/24th May 2026, I will be running from my home in Corsham to the Air Ambulances HQ in Semington...passing through Bath, Bristol, Chippenham & Melksham along the way!
I will be stopping by 12 venues along the way (breweries & taprooms of course!) - delivering a small stand-up set, shaking my bucket and getting back to work!
The indispensable service the Air Ambulance provide costs over £5 million to run annually, that's £14,000 PER DAY. I would raise every singe penny of this if I possibly could, however I have decided to set the target at £1400 to get a day off to a good start!
The Air Ambulance say that Speed is their Superpower - mine is dogged determination thanks to the support of my wonderful Family & Friends
Thank you from the bottom of my heart x
