Pedalling with Purpose 🚴♂️ Supporting Veterans with Sight Loss
We're taking on a challenge that pushes our limits and it's all for a cause that truly matters. Our team is competing in a static-cycling fundraiser to support Blind Veterans UK, a remarkable organisation dedicated to helping veterans living with sight loss to rebuild confidence, independence, and connection.
Over the course of 12 hours, 24 teams of 4 riders will take turns cycling 30 minutes each, working together to collectively cover the incredible distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats – a total of 874 miles!
Every mile we cycle is a tribute to the courage of those who’ve served our country and now face the daily challenge of navigating life with a visual impairment. Your donation will help fund life-changing services from specialist vision-rehabilitation, training in vital life-skills, provision and training in assistive technology, to emotional support and community engagement.
Why it matters:
• Many thousands of veterans in the UK live with sight loss.
• A huge number face isolation, anxiety, and barriers to living independently.
• With your help, Blind Veterans UK can continue providing tailored and expert support that transforms lives.
Army veteran Andy: “Blind Veterans UK has invested a lot of time over the years to help me rebuild my life when I’d lost all hope. They made me realise what was possible and gave me the confidence to start doing physical activities again and get back to work.”
Join us in making a difference. Whether it's £5 or £50, every contribution fuels our ride and empowers a veteran to move forward with confidence and hope.
