Every day, teenagers across the UK are faced with the unimaginable challenge of battling cancer. In order for the Teenage Cancer Trust to help change lives, they can't do it alone.
This cause is incredibly close to our community, and a charity that we have supported previously. Maya, one of our wonderful ex-pupils received the news of her cancer diagnosis in August 2024. Maya has kindly shared the impact that the Teenage Cancer Trust has had on her. If you can, please donate and share this page to help us reach as many people as possible. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
The Teenage Cancer Trust have been a life line for more than one family in our community and continue to support one of our wonderful ex-pupils during the most awful time. The charity fund specialised nurses and youth support coordinators that are with all patients from diagnosis until 2 years post treatment. The dedicated nurse specialists take time to get to know their patients and their families and provide 24/7 support. They are the go-to person with any medical questions and help patients feel more in control. Youth Support Coordinators help patients deal with the emotional burden of cancer. They are not medical, and fully focus on the patient and not their diagnosis. The Teenage Cancer Trust fund amazing facilities within the hospital where there is a dedicated Teenage Cancer Trust ward with protected beds, a quiet room, a day room for out patients getting treatment and an activity hub.
