Our beloved Dad and husband, Jürgen Koenemann, was a firm believer in the power of education. He spent many years as co-director of the Giraffe Project Children's Charity, working to improve children's access to education in Nairobi, Kenya.

Jürgen was also a passionate runner and loved combining running with fundraising for the cause he cared so much about. Already sick with cancer, he participated in his last "20 km of Brussels" charity run in 2022 by cheering on his friends and colleagues.

After Jürgen's passing in March of 2023, our family would like to continue his legacy of love for movement and social engagement.

Our family is therefore participating in the "20 km of Brussels" charity run to raise funds for the Giraffe Project Children's Charity.

We will celebrate Jürgen's life with this Memorial Run and hope to raise funs to send children living in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya, to school.
