Story

Last year, I had to pull out of the London Marathon at 26 km because of plantar fasciitis. It was gutting—but it also reset my focus. This year isn’t about getting faster. It’s about finishing healthy, staying consistent, and turning every step into support for Children with Cancer UK.

I’ve run for Children with Cancer UK for the past few years because their work funds lifesaving research and supports families through unimaginably tough times. I’m back for London Marathon 2026 with a recovery‑first approach and a fundraising goal of at least £2,500—no upper limit.

Why Children with Cancer UK?

They fund research to improve survival rates and reduce long‑term side effects.

They support families with practical help and information when they need it most.

Your donation goes directly to the charity through JustGiving, and UK Gift Aid adds 25% at no extra cost.

My story and plan

Injury reality: I’ve been managing plantar fasciitis for months. I’m working with my physio, completing shockwave therapy, and rebuilding smart.

This year’s focus: recovery > speed. Sustainable training, strength work, recovery and honest updates.

I’ll post regular updates so you can see the journey—wins, setbacks, and what I’m learning along the way.

How your donation helps

£25 could help fund information resources for families at diagnosis.

£50 could support lab research that moves new treatments forward.

£100+ helps sustain projects improving survival and quality of life.

Every amount matters. If you’re in the UK, please tick Gift Aid so your donation goes even further.

Funds go directly to Children with Cancer UK via JustGiving.

Thank you for helping turn a tough setback into something meaningful. Your support will carry me to the start line—and help children and families through their hardest miles.
