There are many possible causes for acquired brain injuries and the some of the most common at CERU are: Road traffic accidents, sports injuries and falls. The average length of stay for patients at CERU is 124 days, many being under 35 years old.

Story

As a way of giving back and expressing our gratitude, we are organising a charity walk in support of CERU Neuro Rehabilitation Centre in Leamington Spa.

The past year has been a journey shaped by hope, determination, and the belief that progress is always possible. Through uncertainty and challenge, we’ve been supported by the encouragement, care, and expertise of those around us, helping us keep moving forward step by step.

We chose CERU because of the role they played in our son’s recovery. At a time when things felt unclear, they offered belief, guidance, and steady encouragement. Their support made a meaningful difference to his journey, and we remain deeply grateful.

This walk is our way of saying thank you, while also helping raise awareness and vital funds so CERU can continue their important work supporting individuals and families affected by life-changing neurological conditions.

We’d love you all to join us in supporting a cause where rehabilitation, resilience, and hope come together to make real recovery possible.

Every step is celebration of courage, perseverance and the power of not giving up. ❤️
