As we round out Thanks+Giving and head into the new year, it's a time to reflect on what we are grateful for. And for me it also includes important time with my family doing what we can to help support others in need - sharing our generosity to help create some smiles for others.

I'm writing you to ask you to consider a gift to Children's Place Association, an organization I care deeply about, to support Chicago families facing the challenge of complex medical issues compounded by extreme poverty. Children’s Place Association provides holistic child and family support, medical case management, foster care and adoption services, afterschool programs, and early childhood education. Your generosity meets real needs and helps them feel less alone.

A single donation can make a HUGE difference to a child.

Fun Facts:

- A $30 donation can provide 1 week of meals for a child, field trips for youth, or a grocery card for a family

- A $100 donation can feed one child for two weeks, provide two weeks of over-the-counter medications and supplies for medically complex children, or provide transportation for families to access health and wellness services and child care

- A $250 donation provides 5 weeks of meals for one child, supports five young children in attending an educational field trip, or contributes to an Emergency Fund for urgent needs like food, medicine, and basic supplies

- A $500 donation can feed 1 child for 10 weeks, help support one month of medical consultation by a Rush University Medical Center pediatrician to help health-compromised children, or fund 3 weeks of After School activities including the cost of food, transportation and supplies

- Your donation directly helps kids. No layers of bureaucracy - real help, real fast, to real kids. Over 90% of your donation goes to kids. This is very unusual in the nonprofit world.
