A self-navigated, 15 or 30 mile, challenging circular walk (or trail run) through Exmoor National Park, dating back over 725 years.

Story

As most of you will know for the past 4 (ish) years I've been working for Somerset Wildlife Trusts Engagement Team supporting people living in Somerset to find connections with local nature and wildlife and take action for it in their communities. As a charity we obviously rely on external funding to continue with this and other work helping to protect Somerset's natural habitats and with over half of UK species in decline since 1970 and more than one in ten are under threat and at risk of disappearing altogether - there is still a great deal of work to be done.

My work focuses on ensuring everyone can connect with nature and wildlife regardless of barriers they may experience in doing this. There are obviously loads of health, social and emotional benefits to nature connection but also huge subsequent benefits to people caring enough about it to do something positive to support it's recovery and growth. The need for building up this reciprocal relationship between our communities and the rest of nature is why I am doing this tricky tricky challenge (30 miles across some super tough parts of Exmoor) to raise funds for Somerset Wildlife Trust.
