Story

Riley will be taking on a huge personal challenge by performing a solo rendition of one of his favourite songs, All Together Now, in front of his entire school assembly to raise money for Breakthrough T1D.

Although Riley loves music and singing, performing alone in front of a large audience takes real courage and confidence. He has chosen to step outside his comfort zone to support a cause that means so much to us.

This June marks 5 years since Riley was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

For the past five years, Riley has faced challenges that most children never have to think about. Living with Type 1 diabetes means 24 hours a day of blood glucose monitoring, insulin management, finger pricks, sensor changes and making constant decisions to stay safe and healthy. There are no days off, no holidays from it, and no cure.

Despite this, Riley continues to face every challenge with resilience, positivity and a smile. We couldn’t be prouder of the amazing young boy he has become.

Through this challenge, we hope to raise awareness of Type 1 diabetes and support the vital work of Breakthrough T1D.

We are also fundraising in memory of Lyla and in support of #LylasLaw, while recognising the incredible T1D community and everyone affected by the condition.

Thank you for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, will help fund research, raise awareness and bring us closer to a future free from Type 1 diabetes. ❤️

Together, we can make a difference. 💙
