Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m taking on the London to Brighton cycle ride with my friend Tegan Pancha, who will be my pilot. This is absolutely a team effort — I couldn’t do it without her.
I’m Chair of the Albinism Fellowship, a charity I grew up in and that means a huge amount to me. Albinism is still widely misunderstood. Because of that, people with my condition often face discrimination, as well as daily challenges linked to visible difference and visual impairment.
I’ve lived that reality. I don’t often say it outright, but growing up wasn’t always easy. There were moments that stayed with me — especially around sport, where I was never picked, never included, and often left feeling exposed and humiliated because of my sight.
That’s exactly why this matters so much to me.
I want something different for the next generation. I want children with albinism to grow up in a world that is kinder, more understanding, and less limiting. A world where they are supported — not singled out.
This ride is also raising money for Gift of Sight at the University of Southampton, which funds vital research into eye conditions including albinism and nystagmus. Researchers like Jay Self and Helena Lee are working to better understand these conditions and, ultimately, improve vision and outcomes for people like me.
I’m not a sporty person — far from it. I’ll never run a marathon. For a long time, that felt like failure. But this challenge feels different. Cycling is something I can do, and I’ve decided to push myself — properly push myself — for causes that mean everything to me.
So this is me, digging deep and doing something that would once have felt impossible.
If you’re able to donate — even just a couple of pounds — I’d be incredibly grateful. It will go towards changing perceptions, supporting families, and funding research that could genuinely change lives.
Thank you. ❤️
