Two of my family members have French Bulldogs that both experienced spinal injuries, which unfortunately is common to the breed. These injuries affected their ability to walk on their hind legs and required MRI and surgery, incurring significant expenses on each occasion.

I therefore understand how stressful and financially demanding it can be to care for a beloved pet — a true member of the family. In light of this, I am delighted to be taking on the challenge of the 2024 London Marathon to raise funds for Team PDSA – The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals.

Every pet deserves to lead a happy and healthy life. As the UK's leading veterinary charity with 48 Pet Hospitals, the PDSA improve pets lives through prevention, education and treatment.

Every year the dedicated veterinary teams carry out 2.7 million treatments on 470,000 pets in need - all made possible thanks to people like you!

I will be running for all those pets who need to be given a chance to recover and for all owners who require a helping hand for their pets in need.
