Take On The Tower Superhero Abseil

Keilith Stewart is raising money for Friends of the Cancer Centre
In memory of David Devine
Brave superheroes from across the land will be Taking on the Tower on Saturday 10th October 2026 and abseiling 190ft down Belfast City Hospital's iconic yellow tower block to raise funds for local families impacted by cancer.

Story

On the 16th of September 2026, my uncle David Devine would have been 40 years old. Unfortunately, the reason he was not here to celebrate such a big birthday, was because my family lost him to cancer when he was only 15 years old.

I was not here long enough to ever get to meet David, but like the rest of my family that didn’t meet him, we still remember him as if we did meet him. We know his favourite songs, his stories, and even how he treated his first nephew Jordan, and every year on his anniversary on the 24th of December, our entire family get together to honour his memory, and we will do so again this year for his 25th anniversary. However, I want to make my own tribute to him this year.

On the 10th of October 2026, I will be taking part in the Take On The Tower Superhero Abseil down Belfast City Hospital in order to raise money for Friends of Cancer Centre NI. I know my family is not the only family that have experienced a family member getting this horrible disease we call cancer, and I would like to do my bit to help.

Thank you and every little bit of money helps!
