Smileawi supports the dental services in Malawi by: Promoting oral health through education and prevention. Providing support for local dental therapists through education and donations of materials and equipment. Recruiting and funding the training of Malawians to become dental therapists. Fundraising to buy materials and equipment for our pain clinics and to support the existing dental facilities and dental therapists. Repairing and maintaining vital hospital vehicles and equipment with the help of Smileawi Spanners.

Story

To mark my last weekend on beautiful Islay (pause for tears) I'm cycling 100 miles with the club I joined here. The ride is called 'Ride of the Falling Rain' and goes around the whole island. I only took up cycling when I moved here 1 year ago and the max I've ever done is about 40 miles (which personally felt like plenty!!). I don't know how far my little legs will take me - but if I don't make it the full way I'll top up all donations by whatever % of the ride I can't do. So please donate and give me the motivation to get round!!

I'm raising money for Smileawi, a dental charity providing vital funding and help to people in Malawi. I went on a trip with Smileawi in 2019 and Vicky and Nigel, who run the charity, recommended Marcin as a trainer for me on Islay so it feels like a full circle moment. More on the charity here: Smileawi

All donations will be hugely appreciated in honour of a fantastic charity and island!! ❤️🚴🏼‍♀️
