Story
This year’s London Marathon on 26 April is a very special one for Kunal and Sandip. They are running together to raise money for the Royal Osteoporosis Society, a cause that is deeply personal to them both.
This will be Kunal's sixth London Marathon and Sandip’s first, making it an unforgettable milestone in our running journey.
They have been running side by side since 2020, starting with regular training runs and eventually completing 2 half marathons together. Taking on the marathon now feels like the natural next step.
For Kunal, this run is in loving memory of his father, Mr Om Parkash, who passed away 35 years ago. His strength, resilience, and values continue to guide me, and running in his memory is my way of honouring his life and legacy. For Sandip, this marathon is run in memory of his mother, Mrudula Patel who sadly passed away 8 years ago and his father, J C Patel who sadly passed away over a year ago.
This will be Sandip’s first marathon, making it an especially emotional and meaningful challenge as he honours her memory with every mile.
"We are proud to be supporting the Royal Osteoporosis Society, whose work helps raise awareness, fund research, and support those affected by osteoporosis, a condition that often goes unnoticed until lives are seriously impacted. Every donation, big or small, will help make a difference. Thank you so much for supporting us, encouraging us, and helping us turn this run into something that truly matters." 💙
