In memory of my uncle Ian who passed away this February from a brain tumour, I will be racing 3 events this spring/summer to raise money for Havens Hospice who took care of my uncle in his final few weeks. These races will be:

1. 1st event - Halstead and Essex Marathon on 12 May

2. 2nd event - Southend Half Marathon on 9 June

3. 3rd event - Holkham Half 70.3 mile Middle Distance Triathlon on 7 July

Havens Hospice provide much needed respite for families that have been caring for relatives with terminal illnesses, and provide palliative care for patients in their final days. They operate solely from charitable donations. Staff are unbelievably kind, supportive and caring (genuinely so) for the families going through grief leading up to the inevitable moment. Having experienced this with my own family I want to give something back for their support to my uncle, aunt and cousins.

Any donations big or small will go straight into the pockets of this amazing charity who need every penny of support to keep operating at all and at capacity.

I will also be raising awareness for the Carli Lansley Foundation by repping their colours on the Halstead Full Marathon and Southend Half. Carli Lansley raise money for young people to have regular ECG's to identify cardiac anomalies that can sadly result in sudden death. ( https://www.carlilansleyfoundation.org.uk/ )
