Story
In July, I’ll be taking on three 10k races, breaking my 100mile record and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, a 24-mile hike that’s as much a mental challenge as it is physical. These aren’t just events on a calendar for me. They’ve become a lifeline.
The past year has been one of the hardest I’ve known, supporting and caring for my dad through his cancer journey which has tested me in every possible way. But through the pain, I found something powerful: movement helped me process.
Every step, every mile, gave me space to breathe, to reflect, and slowly rebuild strength I didn’t know I still had.
I’m doing each of these events for Louie’s Trust, a charity supporting long-term hospitalised children and their families. Their work brings light into the darkest of places, something I’ve come to value deeply.
I’m sharing this not for praise, but in hope. If you’re in a tough place, know this: healing doesn’t always look like rest. Sometimes it looks like running shoes, early mornings, and putting one foot in front of the other.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported me so far, If you’d like to support the cause and help make a difference for children and families facing long-term hospital stays, any donations to Louie’s Trust would mean the world.
Thank you 💙
