On the 11th October, I will be taking part in a charity football match to raise funds for Held In Our Hearts🩵

Held In Our Hearts is an incredible charity that provides baby loss counselling and bereavement support to parents and families across Scotland.

Their compassionate care helps families through one of the hardest and most heartbreaking times imaginable after the loss of a baby.

Nicola and I cannot thank Held In Our Hearts enough for the support we have received, especially from hospital to home. In those very early days and weeks after losing our Sonny, we experienced some of the darkest and loneliest moments of our lives. Trying to navigate the overwhelming emotions that came with losing our baby boy was incredibly difficult, and having this charity reach out to us, acknowledge our grief and validate our loss has helped us more than words can express.

Sonny is our son, and we will forever talk about him, remember him and keep his beautiful memory alive. In honour of our precious boy, I will be taking part in this football match alongside other bereaved dads.

We are doing this to raise awareness of baby loss, to remember and honour our babies, and to raise funds for the amazing work Held In Our Hearts do to support families facing the unimaginable pain of baby loss.
