Story
This year, I’m taking on my biggest challenge yet — trekking across the Sahara Desert! ☀️🏜️. But before I even set foot in the sand, I'll be sleeping rough for a night on 21/03 to kick off my year-long fundraising journey and experience just a fraction of what thousands of homeless people go through every single day.
I’m doing all of this to raise £4,000 for Crisis, a charity that works tirelessly to end homelessness and help people rebuild their lives.
💪 The Fundraising Fun! 🎉
Because walking across a desert isn’t challenging enough (apparently! 😅), I’m also throwing myself into a ton of fundraising activities, including:
✅ Bake sales 🍰 (because sugar makes everything better!)
✅ Raffles & competitions 🎟️ (asking local businesses for prizes!)
✅ Silent auction for an annual car parking pass 🚗
✅ Sweet treat bag sales 🍬 (because who doesn’t love a sugar rush?)
✅ Face painting at kids' galas and local festivals 🎨 (I’m learning, so expect some "abstract art" at first!)
✅ Bucket-shaking 💰 (I'll be that enthusiastic person you can’t avoid!)
✅ Car boot sale 🚗👗 (thanks to my amazing friends & family doing a huge spring clean!)
✅ Pub games night 🍻 (drinks + games = guaranteed fun!)
✅ Climbing Munros 🏔️ (training for the desert by conquering Scottish mountains!)
Every single penny raised will go towards helping Crisis provide vital support, shelter, and opportunities for people experiencing homelessness.
💙 Why Crisis?
No one should have to sleep on the streets, yet thousands of people in the UK do every night. Crisis doesn’t just offer emergency support; they help people find permanent homes, jobs, and a fresh start.
I've never experienced homelessness myself or known anyone who has — but that's the point. You shouldn't have to experience homelessness to care about it
🙌 How You Can Help
If you can spare even a few pounds, please donate—every little bit makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this page or supporting one of my fundraising events would help a lot.
Together, we can make a real difference. ❤️
