I’m running the Bath Half this year in aid of Focus Counselling, a Bath-based mental health charity that provides affordable and accessible counselling and mental health support across Bath and Northeast Somerset.

It’s a charity very close to our hearts because my wife Kate is a volunteer counsellor for them. She and all the other amazing members of the team, give some or all their time for free to keep the service running.

We live in a world where demand for mental health support is rapidly increasing, but there just aren’t enough affordable services out there, meaning mental health support is at risk of becoming something that’s reserved for the privileged.

Focus is a vital resource in our area as it ensures that as many people as possible have access to affordable and high-quality mental health support, regardless of income.
