Story
Alzheimer’s Society is tirelessly working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They provide essential support to those living with dementia today and offer hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia a priority and funding groundbreaking research.
I have experienced the profound impact of this illness firsthand, as my mother bravely battled Alzheimer’s until her passing at the age of 96. She was an inspirational woman who lived a full life, and I know she would have taken on this Trek for me if our roles were reversed. Alzheimer’s is not simply a part of old age; it is a disease that affects countless families, and it is our collective responsibility to change the narrative surrounding it.
This distressing illness should not be an inevitability of aging, and together we can work towards a future where fewer families endure its heartache. On August 2nd, 2025, I will be participating in the "Trek26 Suffolk Coast 2025 - 26 miles" event alongside a wonderful friend. Our goal is to raise £1,000 to support the vital work of Alzheimer’s Society.
I invite you to join us in this mission. Your generous contributions will help fund research and provide support for those affected by dementia. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many and pave the way for a brighter future.
