I am taking part in the Great North Run 2025 to raise money for the Urgent & Emergency Care Centre (ECC) at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Having worked in the department previously as a Healthcare Assistant and now as a Physiotherapist, I see every day how hard everyone works to cope with the increasing demand on our emergency care services, from healthcare professionals to porters, domestics and administrative employees.

To be able to continue such crucial work requires a considerable amount of resources. Gateshead Health Charity goes beyond the core NHS funding to improve patient care and enhance the healthcare environment.
