As many of you know, I ran the Hackney Half Marathon last year, and am running it again this year for Barts Charity.

They bring brilliant ideas, ground-breaking research and transformational healthcare to life for the people of East London.

Whilst this charity has always been close to my heart, recently they have played an invaluable role in my life, following my mum's diagnosis of Breast Cancer.

While my mum was in inpatient at St Bart’s Hospital, the nurses were constantly by her side for anything she needed. It brought immense comfort knowing when I was not there, she had the best people by her side. By supporting this charity, you will also be supporting the well-being of Barts Health NHS staff. Well supported staff, support patients well.

My mum ran in the very first Hackney Half Marathon in 2014, therefore it only feels right to be running in it for her, over 10 years later, and raising money for Barts Charity while I do so.

My goal is to raise £350 for Barts Charity. I know times are tough for a lot of people at the moment, but truly any amount will be appreciated. Every donation, big or small raised through this event means the people of East London benefit from life-changing research and innovative healthcare improvements. I am just one person who has been witness to their impact in healthcare, and hope many more get to witness this.
