Lacie-Jo's fundraiser for Cleft Lip And Palate Association

Step up for Cleft Lip & Palate · 10 May 2025
Hi My name is Lacie-Jo and I am 5 years old. I was born with a cleft palate and I had an operation a few years ago to fix it, I regularly have speech therapy to help me and I am super lucky I have lots of support and encouragement from my friends and family.
Three babies are born with a cleft lip and/or palate every day in the UK, and they face a 20-year treatment pathway which can continue well into adulthood. The Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) is here to make sure no one has to go through this alone.
On May 4th I am taking part in my first ever charity pageant with Endeavour and I have chosen CLAPA as my charity to raise funds for. I aim to raise a minimum of £150 to help CLAPA provide information, bottles and to support their Advocacy Service.
Every donation will help CLAPA to continue to provide specialist, targeted services to give people affected by cleft the knowledge and emotional support they need, while their UK-wide community brings together people from all walks of life to share experiences and learn to cope.
I will be walking a total of 5 miles visiting 5 different landmarks where I will have a photo at each one. I will have a charity bucket to hopefully collect donations along the way, along with some stickers to hand out to spread the word about Cleft Lip and Palate Awareness Week
3rd - 11th May 2025
Please help me reach my goal and Thank you for helping me spread awareness for CLAPA.
If you are free on the 10th of May, wear it blue and come and join us on my walk to the Pike!
