Ladies 6s Charity Day 2026
Like many people after lockdown, we were looking for ways to get active, reconnect, and spend time together outdoors. After launching our outdoor bootcamps, a group of ladies at Ferguslie Cricket Club decided it would be fun to get together, try a bit of cricket, and enjoy a day filled with laughs, movement, and positivity.
That first event took place in 2020 and was such a success that it quickly became an annual tradition.
Ladies 6s has grown into a brilliant event that brings women together, not just to raise money for great causes, but also to create a space where girls and women can try a sport they might never have played before, feel supported, and enjoy a positive experience with exercise.
This ties closely in with our work at EC Inspired Coaching, where we are passionate about helping people build confidence through movement and enjoy positive experiences with health and fitness. We're proud to support and sponsor a day that encourages women and girls to step outside their comfort zones and get involved.
This year’s event is on Sunday 14th June, and as always there will be plenty going on: ladies and girls playing softball cricket, a raffle with fantastic prizes, and of course, the bar will be open and the music playing. It’s a great family-friendly day, with something for everyone, whether you're playing or cheering from the sidelines.
This year we are raising funds for two charities, The Brain Tumour Charity and Bowel Cancer UK, and we’d love your support.
Last year we raised over £1,000, which was donated to The Beatson. This year we’d love to match that.
A massive thank you and well done to all the players taking part this year. Many have come out of their comfort zone to take part in an activity for charity. And to everyone who has given up their time to help, thank you!
