Story
It is estimated that 1 in 2 people will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. That's a frightening statistic and one that shows how many lives are touched by cancer.
Last year, Freddie was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma at 22 and to celebrate him entering remission, we as a friend group decided to run the 2026 York marathon to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust - a charity that was so supportive throughout his journey.
Teenage cancer trust is a charity which provides specialist care and support for young people aged 13-24. The charity funds specialist nurses, youth support coordinators and dedicated units designed specifically for teenagers and young adults, helping ensure they receive age appropriate treatment and care. It offers counselling, mental health support, information and practical advice to help young people and their families cope with the impact of cancer. They make sure that no young person has to face cancer alone by providing this specialist care.
