Upgrade Ladywood Path — a vital year‑round link for our community

Nick Tapper is raising money for Aboyne Community Trust
Aboyne Community Trust (formerly known as Mid Deeside Community Trust) was set up in 1996 as a means for people in the Mid Deeside area to develop projects of local benefit and interest. These projects may be of a social, educational, cultural or economic purpose.

Story

Help Us Upgrade the Ladywood Path

The Ladywood footpath from the A93 crossing to the schools was built around 2002 and now becomes muddy and difficult to use in bad weather. Local residents have asked Aboyne Paths and Tracks Group (APTG), part of Aboyne Community Trust, to improve it.

We’re raising funds to resurface the worst sections, fix drainage, and create a safer, cleaner, year‑round route for pupils, families, cyclists, and older residents. Most of the path lies within Ladywood, leased long‑term to the Trust, and APTG already has indicative contractor costs so work can begin quickly once funded.

APTG has a strong record of improving local paths, including the Castle Wood accessible routes and the Glen Tanar link. With your support, we can deliver the next much‑needed upgrade for the community.
