In February, I had the amazing opportunity of a self-funded trip to Kilifi county in Kenya with the GREAT project. The GREAT project is led by EQUALIS which is a not-for-profit global health organization dedicated to reducing disparities in healthcare access for underserved populations, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
The aim of our mission was to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early presentation for timely diagnosis. We managed to engage with 117 people on this particular trip. But the work is not done. The team will be going out again later this year.
All funds raised goes directly into the mission.
