Hi, my name is Laila and I am aiming to raise £500 for my trip to Gambia in the summer. There, I want to understand women’s literacy and learning overall and contribute what I can, under the guidance of the village elders. There is such little education for women in the Gambia, as it is expensive, thus I want to become an active member of my school, home and local community with providing materials and educating the girls there.  

I am looking forward to broaden my perspective on life in The Gambia, whilst also making a difference to the less fortunate families there and being able to share all the great and impactful memories when I return to England. 

The fundraising is the hardest part of my challenge. I need to raise a minimum of £500 by 12th May to pay for my flight to the Gambia. Please help me make a change by donating £10 or more today via my JustGiving page.
