💙 Lakeland Care – Walking to Remember with St Mary’s Hospice

Lakeland Care is raising money for St Mary's Hospice

Walk 2 Remember 2025 · 5 September 2025 ·

St Mary’s Hospice provides specialised supportive and palliative care for people with life-shortening conditions throughout South Cumbria. Less than 20% of our funding comes from the NHS, the rest comes from our supporters. All our services are provided free to patients and their families.

Story

This September, our team at Lakeland Care is proud to take part in the Walk to Remember in support of the incredible work done by St Mary’s Hospice.

We’re walking in memory, in solidarity, and in hope — to honour those we’ve loved and lost, and to help ensure that local families continue to receive the compassionate end-of-life care they deserve.

Whether we're covering 5 or 10 miles from Ulverston to Barrow, every step we take will help raise vital funds for St Mary’s Hospice’s services – from nursing and counselling to their beautiful Living Well therapies.

As a care provider in Barrow, Ulverston, and Millom, we see first-hand how important dignified, personalised care is at life’s most difficult moments. We're walking not only as colleagues, but as family members, friends, and neighbours of those who have benefitted from the hospice’s kindness.

Please support us if you can – every donation makes a difference.

Thank you 💙
