In recent months and years, this devastating illness has deeply impacted family life, affecting not just loved ones in the family but also close friends.

It's a tough road for everyone concerned, and that’s why I’m taking on a tough challenge.

On Saturday 12th July 2025 (after having to defer my 2024 entry), I’ll be tackling 50 km (31.06 miles) with 700 plus meters (2,342 feet) of trail running through the stunning Oxfordshire countryside—hopefully under a bright summer sky!

This is the UK’s biggest ultra marathon, following Britain’s oldest footpath all the way to the ancient Avebury Standing Stones with over 5,000 years of history underfoot.
