Help For Children (HFC) and the Alternative Investment industry have together been fighting child abuse since 1998. Help For Children provides desperately needed private funding and expert consultation to select social organisations to achieve measurable results.

Story

Lanware 30 for 30!

This year it’s Lanware’s 30th Birthday and to help celebrate, we thought it would be a great idea to mark the occasion by undertaking a number of fundraising challenges with the aim of raising a total of £30K to donate to two great charities that are close to our heart.

The first charity we are supporting is “Help for Children”, which not only raises money for an amazing cause, but is very much aligned to the industry in which we operate.

Help for Children (HFC) is a charity supported by the alternative investment industry community with its main mission being to eradicate child abuse worldwide, where 40 million children are victims of child abuse every year. Generously supported by hedge fund, private equity and venture sectors, the charity uses critical funds to support effective child abuse and treatment interventions across 13 locations in 6 countries. Using consultations from experts from well-known university and institutions, HFC provides grants to help local communities and supports promising new practices in the prevention of child abuse. These valuable grants go towards reducing trauma and decreasing risk by protecting children and supporting families who are directly affected. Since 1998, HFC has released $61 million worth of grants to communities and in the process transformed over 1.1 million lives.

Throughout the year we are looking to do a number of activities and look forward to involving as many of you as possible to achieve this ambitious target. The first one is kicking off in October 2023, and we look forward to sharing more details about it in the coming weeks.
