Story

In August 2026, I’ll be taking on my biggest endurance challenge yet: Lap of the Lakes – Swim. Run. Survive.

The challenge will see me swim every lake in the Lake District and run between them, covering approximately 65km of swimming and 140km of running over multiple days.

I’m fundraising for Head Up Charity, a military mental health charity that provides support to people within the UK Armed Forces community.

Mental health within the military community is a cause that means a great deal to me. Like many people I have personally struggled and I’ve seen first-hand the impact that poor mental health can have on individuals, families, and friends. Too many people continue to struggle in silence, and too many lives are lost.

This challenge is about more than swimming and running. It’s about raising awareness, starting conversations, and supporting a charity that works tirelessly to help those who need it most.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Head Up Charity continue its vital work supporting the military community.

Thank you for your support
