Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.I am raising funds for the Klinefelter’s Syndrome Association (KSA) which supports people who have the condition.Klinefelter’s Syndrome (KS)/XXY is caused by the presence of an extra sex chromosome and can affect all aspects of life from organisation abilities to social skills to poor muscle development. The condition affects around 1 in 600 males but 75% are never diagnosed and never know why they struggled through life. The KSA works to raise awareness of KS/XXY to improve diagnostic rates. For more information please see their website.

On Sunday 3rd September I’ll be running 33miles in a 8KG weighted vest in memory of my brother Luke. Luke was diagnosed with 47XXY Klinefelters Syndrome when he was in about year two of school. Luke spent his life having to cope and manage with his symptoms and ultimately we will never know how much his Klinefelters Syndrome contributed to his sudden death on the 3rd September 2022, only 4 days after his 33rd birthday. His circle was small, but that meant he had a lot more of his heart to give to the people in it. He was the most caring big brother and uncle, and the love he gave can never be replaced and will always be in our memories. When we were early teens we moved to Colworth estate, farm land miles away from anything and Luke loved his daily walks without having to have any human contact. So I will be running laps of the farm land he use to walk everyday. 33miles to celebrate his 33 years with us, with a weighted vest to resemble all the weight of his struggles he had to carry through out his life.
