Story
This November, I will run 10K in Athens to support Mazí Housing, a grassroots charity that works with young men seeking refuge in Greece.
10K you say? Easy, you think? Well no, I hate running and curse myself for agreeing to do this, but I do truly think Mazí does extraordinary work we really MUST support.
In case you don't know already: Mazí runs three apartments in the city, providing a safe place to live for 40 young men every year. Mazí support residents to deal with health and mental-health concerns, develop skills, find work and pursue their goals. This breaks the cycle of homelessness, helping each resident to leave prison-like camps, precarious basements, and rough-sleeping on the streets, for good.
I am running for Mazí Housing because I know that our homes are the foundation of our lives. Mazí brings choice to young asylum seekers who need help and care to make the transition from adolescence to adulthood.
Please help us run an apartment through 2026. Your support is vital to keep Mazí houses running. After all, providing stable housing isn't a 10K sprint, it's a MARATHON (one step at a time)!
