Story
As part of my Ardonagh Graduate Programme we have been asked to organise and perform a charity event. I have decided to sponsor a local charity that is close to home - Sevenoaks Larder.
The primary objectives of the charity are the relief and assistance of those living within the Sevenoaks district that are in need by reason of financial hardship, by providing emergency food supply, essential toiletries and other household items. Especially with the Cost of Living Crisis that we are currently living in, this cause has become increasingly more important.
I have decided my challenge will be to climb the Three Yorkshire Peaks in under 12 hours. Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, Ingleborough are the three most beautiful peaks of Yorkshire. Spanning a 24 milage round-trip (a marathon is 26.2miles) and reaching 1600m (higher than Ben Nevis which sits at 1300m) this is by no means an easy feat.
For every £250 raised, this will feed one person every day for a whole year. I would be hugely grateful to anyone who can donate towards this brilliant cause.
Wish me luck!
