Story
Last year myself and a friend walked 106k around the Isle of Wight. I can remember on a number of occasions thinking to myself, I don’t ever have to do this again. Yes it was that bad.. at times.
But for some reason which is still unknown to myself I have decided to do it again. This time though I have a team of three friends, Sophie Griffiths, Michelle Greenhalgh and Emma Readings and we are going big! 100k around The Lake District with the total elevation gain of 2,492 metres.
Actually I do know why I’m doing this to myself again, I want to raise some money for this amazing charity Jane Scarth House - Romsey Cancer Support Centre. They support anyone affected by cancer to minimise the impact on them.
I have personally witnessed the kind, supportive, positive effect this amazing charity has given to a couple of close friends of mine as well as to many others.
Every step of pain is nothing compared to what people using this charity are going through, so it makes every step completely worth it if it means it will help others. Please help me support them too.
